CM in Spring in Sydney:- The Galston Country Music Festival is held annually on the second weekend in September with the main event this year held on Sunday the 9th September in the beautiful setting of Fagan Park, at Galston in Sydney.
55 hectares of parkland formal gardens and bushland hosted an array of amazing talent. Festival Patron Frank Ifield said 'This years line up is the most exciting yet with such a diverse range of performers ... something to please every CM taste'.
The Fiddlers Festival, Crakajak, Lyn Bowtell and Southern Steel were there as well as some of the Festival favorites Karen Lynne with Acoustic Shock, Steve Passfield with Handpicked and Pat Drummond with the Galston All Stars.
Media Personality Helen Kay hosted the special feature of the day - The Fifth Annual Golden Saddle Awards with a guest performance from last years winner Dave Debs. Glenn Jones, Karen O'Shea, Mark Tempany, and Donella Plane were on 'The Stage above the Lake' as well as newcomer Luke O'Shea. The 'Steve Passfield and guests' in the Big Tent last year was a great success and featured again this year.
The Galston Country Music Festival is an activity of the Rotary Club of Galston.
