Some outdoor concerts for Pat this year took a distinctly political turn after the "Your Rights at Work" union bus opposing the Howard Governments AWA's was excluded ...from the cavalcade.
|
Developing both a beard and an increasingly activist attitude over the 2 weeks at The Festival Pat responded with a main street concert which consisted of an hour of his most political material (incl. 'Who Are these People?" , "10,000 Miles Away' and 'Money To Be Made' finishing with 'Who Is That Refugee', the song he wrote for Chilout (the 'Refugee Children out of Detention' Organisation) All of which resulted in him being asked to terminate his set by organisers at The Bisley stage 15minutes early. Way To Go!!! Woody Guthrie would be proud!
