Pat
Drummond and Simon Watts
Travelling Australia
- Tales from the Wallaby Track
Country Music Hands Of Fame Inductee and Australian
Independent Country Music Artist of The Year, Pat Drummond
brings his incredible stories of Australia to life on stage in
the Downstairs Lounge at Smithfireld RSL this Australia Day. Gathered
from over 35 years of travelling this country's highways and backroads,
his songs are a cross between songwriting and journalism that
present a composite picture of Australia and it's people.
Pat, a performer with an innate sense of fun and an
astonishing capacity to entertain and involve an audience, is
a songwriter, whose passionate commitment to this country and
its people, has produced songs which are often more like one-act
plays. They are concise, self contained but highly detailed snapshots
of ordinary Australians caught in the act of living. Add to these,
lots of irresistible audience participation songs like "The
Sao Song," "40 into 24", and " Somewhere
In The Car (The Spider Song)" and the wild antics and
virtuosity of fiddle sensation, Simon Watts and you have an Australia
Day show that will leave people humming for weeks after it's over.
Bring your brain, your voices and your foot-en' tappin' shoes.
You'll need them all.
