Vale Ron Drummond
It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing
of Ron Drummond.
Ron, was heavily involved in his younger brother, Pat's
recording and performing career, and in production, with multiple
other acts including Eddie and The Starlighters, The Zarzoff
Brothers and The Conway Bros. Band throughout the 80's and 90's.
He passed away on Tuesday Morning at Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred
hospital from complications arising from a year-long battle with
lymphoma.
Our most sincere thanks go to all to the staff at QE2 at
RPAH. In their compassionate care, his last days were spent surrounded
by family and friends, music and a little Guinness.
Performer, writer, comedian, road crew boss, and a generally
unique human being he will be deeply, deeply missed. He is survived
by his wife, Claire; sons, Timothy and Jason; daughters, Amanda
and Rebecca and grandson, Jarrod.
Trevor, his father, and brothers Danny, Pat, Geoff and
Steve would particularly like to acknowledge Professor John Gibson
at RPAH and the Leukemia Foundation for their superb work on
Ron's behalf over the last year.
His Funeral was held at Holy Innocents Catholic Church,
Croydon on Tuesday 21st October 2003 at 10AM. Condolences may
also be sent to The Drummond Family, 4/42 Belmore Street, Burwood,
or by return email.
